5D Mk IV – EF 70-200mm f/2.8L II – 1/60, f/5.6, ISO 100
I decided to go out on a drive and look around for potential shots. This was the second stop I made; I saw the old windmill and the newer, very large windmills in the background and thought this would be a cool shot. I wasn’t outside long but the cold and the wind still made things kinda miserable. During this stop, it started snowing again so I packed things up and headed home – we are under a winter weather advisory again. They say that next week the temps may get up toward 70. That would be nice!
Under warmer conditions, I would have done a better job, and taken more shots, of composing this scene. As it is, this one made the photo of the day. The actual focal point is on the top of the wind turbine in the back. I decided to go with a high key black and white image in post-processing.
