5D Mk IV – EF 50mm f/1.2L – 1/800, f/1.6, ISO 100, Spot Meter

Did a lot today. Made it halfway through Horizon Forbidden West – awesome game! Then Roxie and I went to Prophetstown to do a shake-down bike ride at Prophetstown. Took the Vados and worked through the post-winter kinks on what we forgot from last season. It was fun, but we relearned a lot on loading the bikes, and riding them. The bottom pic is on the foot bridge at the back of the park.

We then went to Steph and Ryan’s and hung out there for the afternoon. The Photo of the Day is a great shot of Andie having fun on the backyard swing. Today is the first day of Spring so it was nice to be outside having fun. I imagine we’ll still have some colder days ahead, but warm weather is approaching.

For the Photo of the Day, I had the 5D set to Aperture Priority mode with an open f-stop of 1.6. I wanted to catch her face while blurring some of the background. The drive was set to high speed continuous and auto-focus mode was Servo. I had the metering mode set to Spot, but in all honesty, that was an oversight on my part. In post-processing, I did add a bit to the exposure to compensate for this error.

The other picture of Andie and Colin in their Jeep was just a fun, little picture.
