Today turned out to be a cleaning day – outdoors to be exact. The Photo of the Day originally was going to be the runner-up photo below. Roxie and I power-washed the back decks and patio, and the front patio. The pic below shows the deep contrast between the cleaned decking and the dirty decking on the front porch!
Now about the Photo of the Day. I recently bought 2 (smaller) Cowboy Ribeye steaks. I’ve tried grilling these at least twice before with absolutely dismal results. Today, I tried a different tactic. Early this morning I prepared the marinade and put both ribeyes in a plastic bag with the marinade to ‘simmer’ for several hours. Later in the day I fired up the wood pellet grill to 325 degrees. I put the ribeyes on for 30 minutes, turning after 15 minutes. When 30 minutes was up, I increased the temp to 500 and put the ribeyes on for 3 minutes then rotated 90 degrees before flipping and repeating. The end result was they were delicious!
The shot itself was easy. Nothing special to report. Just enjoy the view!
Both are great!
