Canon 5D Mk IV – EF 100mm F/2.8 Macro – MT-24EX Macro Twin Flash – 1/200, f/9, ISO 100, Eval Meter
This was going to be a PotD, just not today. I had switched the lens on the camera and put the 50mm on and went outside. I immediately saw on the arm of a chair a large Katydid type bug thatwas eating a smaller bug. I took some quick photos but realized I needed the macro lens. I hurriedly went inside and switched the 50 for the 100 and also put on the macro twin flash. I went back outside and the bug was…gone…
Now, I had found this fly yesterday, it was dead, and I was going to see if I could get it on a stick, then take numerous photos and stack them together. Upon closer inspection, the fly isn’t in the best of shape. I snapped a few pics and thought – not bad. So here is the dead fly PotD! This is a single pic. No focus stacking.
Cool!
