5D Mk IV – EF 50mm F/1.2L – 640W Strobe (x1) – 1/200, f/6.3, ISO 100, Eval Meter

This is another focus stacked project. Today I used an extension tube on my 50mm prime. I first tried a 36mm tube, but I had to get the lens crazy close in order to focus. So close that it was blocking the light. I then switched to a 12mm tube and that gave me about 3 inches away from the lens. Speaking of light, I used one Einstein with my homemade snoot attached so I could really pinpoint the light on this object. I was also tethered to my iMac – this really helps me focus on these macro shots.

This is a stack of 21 images.The Zerene has two processing formats – Max and Map. So far, I am hooked on the Max process. Can you guess what this is?
