5D Mk IV – EF 100mm F/2.8 Macro – 640W Strobes (x2) – 1/200, f/13, ISO 100, Eval Meter

This PotD is officially the first photo session where I used my new Paul C. Buff HUB remote. This unit replaces my broken Cyber Commander to manage my Einstein strobes. Let me tell you, it is so much easier to use this than the Cyber Commander. The HUB sits on the camera’s hot shoe and is managed by an app on the phone. It is very intuitive. While this pic might not seem like much, it is leaps and bounds better than the Cyber Commander.

This PotD used two strobes. The primary was on the left side and sitting high looking down into the candle. The strobe on the right was sitting low and added just enough light so the shadows on the left side of the candle were not black. The different colors of the flames were added in Lightroom in post. Call it artistic liberty!
