Canon G7X Mk II 1/500, f/6.3, ISO 2000

Well we are back at it after a year! The Project 52 came to a sudden stop last year after I injured my knee requiring surgery so I was focused on rehab for a few months. It seemed appropriate that I continue, so here I am. This first week back is a short week since I want to keep the days consistent, as well as ending the week on a Saturday.

This Photo of the Week is actually a panorama merge of 9 images taken in the Coco View Channel in Honduras on April 11, 2024. It is of the 165 ft Prince Albert shipwreck. The weather all week was terrible and the visibility in the channel, while usually not great, was generally terrible this week – similar to quarry diving in Indiana. On this particular day though, after I jumped off the boat, I could see the entire ship! However, this image was almost not meant to be. I was messing around with my G7X earlier and trying to get some hummingbird pics (got some great ones with my 5D Mk IV – I might post one later) and I forgot to change the settings. Plus, the current in the channel was strong. But……the pics still turned out and I was able to merge them into what I consider my favorite panorama.
