Canon G7 X Mk II – 1/60, f/3.2, ISO 125
This was a shot from our room in the Drury Plaza Hotel during the Milwaukee Road Trip. This little PowerShot camera has a Scene mode called Miniature Effect that essentially mimics what a tilt-shift lens might do. We were on the top floor (15th floor) and this shot was obviously shot looking down. It appears that the camera adds a blur to the top and bottom of the image that ‘tricks’ the eye into thinking the objects are not what they seem to be.
This additional shot was actually taken when we were back in Illinois (Wheeling) today. We were walking up to a store (ok, it was to get beer) when we saw this goose standing in front of the liquor store looking at himself in the glass. He was a good sport about letting me take his picture. Go figure.
Love the color contrast on the first shot!
