5D Mk IV – EF 100mm Macro – MT-24 EX Macro TwinLite – 1/200, f/32, ISO 100
Roxie found a large feather in the front yard and posted a pic on our family text channel. However, I knew when I saw it that it had to be a Photo of the Day. I put the dollar bill there to provide some scale. The pic was an easy set-up: I put a weight on the stem of the feather (stem – is that a word?) to keep it propped up, used a black background, and cranked the aperture to f/32 to give a big depth of focus.
Now, does anyone know what type of bird this might have come from? If you know, post it in the comments.
