5D Mk IV – EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L II – 2X Extender – 1/1250, f/5.6, ISO 200, Eval Meter
The branch this bird is flying into once held a tire swing. Sadly, the branch died and broke off several years ago. However, a bird family has taken to calling it home and has built a nest in there. In the past, I’ve tried to get the drone up there to see inside, but it was too dark. Today, I set out to try and capture the birds going into the branch. I put on the 70-200mm lens with the 2X Extender. As it turned out, I didn’t have to wait long to see two birds hanging around. I played around with the different metering modes, and i tried to avoid capturing a full silhouette, but the Evaluative metering turned out best.
I’ll keep my eyes open for more opportunities with this branch, and the nest out front.
Wow! This is amazing!
