GoPro Hero 10 – 1/1700, f/2.5, ISO 100, Average Meter

This was a little slower day. We got up and eventually went out to get breakfast (more on that later), then went to Wal-Mart for supplies. When we got back, we rested for a bit before going down to the pool and lagoon. The Photo of the Day was taken this morning on the way to breakfast. The bridge we crossed goes over a channel that empties into a small harbor. It just so happens that this channel and harbor are famous for being the location of the opening intro to Gilligan’s Island. The part where the Minnow is leaving the harbor before getting caught in the storm.

Today was a bit unique because all pictures were taken with the GoPro Hero 10. This particular picture was taken in the Superview setting that provides a very wide angle to the photo. The hard part to the picture is setting up the GoPro beforehand because in the sunlight, it is hard to change and adjust.

The picture below is a picture of our resort, the Hilton Grand Waikikian, from the base. This photo is also taken using the Superview setting.

Lastly, this is a pic of where we had breakfast. We started out by going to a resort next door (kinda like Vegas, the resorts appear close, but they’re not really). They told us that there was a 40 minute wait. We decided to press on and keep going to see if there was something between us and Wal-Mart, our destination. We made it to another location and this was also a 40 minute wait. By now we had walked over a mile from our resort. We noticed a place called The Original Pancake House. It was a little hole in the wall place – a little restaurant inside a mostly medical office building (it also had a dance studio, a marine recruiting station, and an insurance agency among others). They had no wait. We went in, ate breakfast, and it was FANTASTIC! Come to find out we had stumbled onto a little Hawaiian gem. There were several reviews we read later that said they had the best breakfast in all of Hawaii. Just goes to show, the resorts and big chains aren’t always the best.
