Angry Sky
DJI Mini 2 – 1/8, f/2.8, ISO 800
The area south of us was under a tornado warning a little bit ago. We are under a severe thunderstorm watch. I took some ground level pics of the sky but didn’t think it did justice to the stormy sky. I was able to get the drone up, barely, before it started raining. I took 3 shots and merged them together in Lightroom to form a panorama. I call this picture ‘Angry Sky’. One thing that still amazes me is how steady the platform is while shooting. 1/8 of a second is a slow shutter speed but there is virtually no blurring. This pic was taken at 395 feet.
This photo is called Super Girl and is of my favorite granddaughter! I don’t make it a habit to take photos with my iPhone – I’m still convinced they don’t look good blown up. Plus, you have no control over the exposure. It’s totally automatic. In fact, this is only the second photo I’ve posted in this project that came from the iPhone. The other was actually a Photo of the Day – do you remember which one?
Love both of these…but of course I’m partial to the Andie photo!!
