Today’s PotD was a random one. I originally was going to post a photo of some very old cast iron skillets we have, that I re-seasoned on my smoker. These are Griswold skillets, very rare, and very expensive now. But then I found a large, live, mosquito-type creature positioned on the outside door. It was at an awkward angle, and I couldn’t get the tripod out so those photos weren’t that good. Next up, Roxie and I went golfing. After the first tee, I thought I saw where my ball landed, and I walked up to it and started laughing. I don’t think Roxie noticed, but when I got close, I saw it wasn’t my ball, but a mushroom! I let it be and ultimately found my ball for a bogey on the hole.

This was just an easy shot. I had the camera set to auto – it’s a golf course and not a photo studio. I didn’t want to hold up play for anyone coming up behind us.
