DJI Mini 2 – Various Shutter Speeds, f/2.8, ISO 100, CWA Meter

Today I went outside with my 5D Mk IV and my drone, the DJI Mini 2. I didn’t know what the PotD was going to be and was hoping I could take a bunch of shots and hope something would stick. In hindsight, that’s probably not a process I want to follow very often. Anyway, it was hot outside and I was making a smoked Mississippi Pot Roast on my smoker. I figured I would take several pictures of that process (and I did with my G7 X). However, we also happened to get a sever thunderstorm watch and the clouds were turning ominous. Now I know I have a few PotD’s that are weather related, and some are from the drone, but all I can say is this is another one. I like how the cloud is building up over the windmills.

Now, from a technical standpoint, this is a high dynamic range photo merge. I got the Mini 2 up to about 160 feet and snapped 3 photos. Each had a different shutter speed. One to capture dark tones, one for medium, and one for light. The photos were merged in Lightroom. Some additional post processing took place in Lightroom.
