5D Mk IV – EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro – Einstein 640W (x1) – 1/200, f/2.8, ISO 100, Eval Meter
I was out practicing chipping today. I started with a clean club; this is my Approach Wedge. It’s a nice little utility club, but I specifically like it for chip shots about 25 yards and closer. I got to looking at the club-head after I’d hit a few and couldn’t help but wonder how this would look as a macro shot. I was happily surprised. Look at the detail of the grass and dirt in this Photo of the Day!
I set the club up in my studio and had the usual camera setup: tripod, macro rail, tethered to computer, and remote attached. I used one Einstein strobe set slightly to the left. This is a stack of 19 photos done in Zerene Stacker. Minor Post-Processing took place in Lightroom.
At first this looks like a reflection in the club! So cool!
