Canon 5D Mk IV – 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM – MT-24 EX Macro Twin Light Flash – 1/125, f/11, ISO 100

Eye See You! Another macro day. This was a difficult shoot because my old remote is apparently not compatible with my 5D Mk IV; it only works 1/2 the time. As such, I had a difficult time focusing.

I took this shot with my Macro Twin Light flash mounted on the 100mm Macro lens. You can see the two catchlights in my eye. I’m not a fan of on camera lighting as it makes things somewhat flat – you can see it in how flat the dark part of the pupil looks. I also used my Einstein studio lights and that had a much better catchlight. However, because of the remote issue, those pics were slightly less focused. Well, there are plenty of days left in this project so we can try again.

Now, about that remote…time to order a new one.
