5D, Mk IV – EF16-35 F/2.8 L – 580 EX II SpeedLite – 1/200, f/6.3, ISO 100, CWA Meter

On Day 126 (May 6) i took a photo of some mushrooms growing on the east side of the house. That photo was taken with the G7 X. Today’s PotD is of two very tall and large mushrooms on the west side of the house. This photo was taken with the workhorse 5D Mk IV. I put the camera on my Joby Gorilla tripod, but the weight of the camera, lens, and flash was too much; it sank flat under the weight. So what we have is the camera basically sitting on the ground.

I had to lay flat on the ground in order to look through the viewfinder; something this old body found a bit uncomfortable. I’m not intending to do repeats of photos, but thought the last couple days were too interesting to pass up.

I brought supper to Roxie and the grandkids – Dominos Pizza and Cheesy bread. Here’s a photo where you can see it was pretty much a smash hit – hardly anything left!
