5D Mk IV – EF 100mm F/2.8 Macro – Macro Twin Lite MT-24EX – 1/200, F/9, ISO 100, Eval Meter
Remember the Day 250 PotD? Well the spider is still on the upper back deck, and today I happened to see something in the web. I grabbed the camera with the macro lens and Twin Lite flash, along the tripod. I went up and was able to get pretty close (about 9 inches) without scaring the spider. I took a number of pics of the spider, along with its supper. When I saw how these turned out, I liked this as the PotD. It looks like something out of a horror movie – I immediately thought of Stephen King’s ‘The Mist’.
The nice thing about this is it wasn’t very windy so I was able to get some decently in-focus shots. I did try focus stacking a few of them, but really couldn’t tell much difference. I opted for this single shot photo at an aperture of f/9.
Creepy but cool!!
