Canon G7 X Mk II – 1/250, F/5.6, ISO 125, Eval Meter

Lots of excitement around this PotD. Ryan, Steph, and I were on the back deck and I was getting ready to run inside when Steph turned slightly and I saw a big bug on her shoulder. Needless to saw, emotions were running high when I told her to not move and that I had to go get the camera for the Photo of the Day! I went in and grabbed the camera and snapped some quick pics (that were a bit blurry) before Ryan removed the Praying Mantis. It was at this point that things settled down, I set the camera to macro mode and was able to snap this cool pic. Unfortunately, the Mantis appeared to be injured in his leg. Ryan carefully placed him on a flowering plant. Hopefully his remaining days will be peaceful.
