Well Halloween is fast approaching and what better way to prepare than to post a pic of ‘The Birds’! While not quite as dramatic as the 1963 Film of the same name, it was pretty cool to watch this flock of hundreds, if not thousands of birds flying over the back field. The photo itself was easy. I slapped on the 70-200mm lens, exposed, and started snapping. The one challenge was keeping the exposure decent without raising the ISO or lowering the shutter speed too much – it was getting close to dusk. What is cool is the car behind the birds is partially obscured. And, if you didn’t see them, look for the two farm trailers in the field that are almost totally obscured.
