Canon G7 X Mk II – On Board Flash – 1/200, f/6.3, ISO 125, Eval Meter
This will be a quick post – cooking supper now and it’s been a very busy day. As you know by the date, tomorrow is Thanksgiving. I’ve been asked to smoke a turkey. Now, mind you, I’ve smoked a lot of meats, but I’ve never done a turkey. Here we have a 20 lb turkey sitting in the wet brine overnight. The brine is made of apple juice, molasses, salt, brown sugar, and ice water. I’m estimating about 5 to 6 hours at 325 degrees. The one interesting thing about the pic is that with the location of the flash on the left side of the camera, the right side of the pic was a bit under-exposed. I set a linear gradient in Lightroom on the right side and increased the exposure on just that side. Expect photos tomorrow.
Can’t wait!!
