5D Mk IV – EF24-70 f/2.8L II – Einstein 640W Strobes – 1/125, f22, ISO 50
Let me start by saying this project has no rules other than to take at least one photo a day. So, even though this photo looks strikingly similar to one I took 2 days ago, it is quite different technically. But first, let me explain why I shot this material again. In short, I wanted to put it on my Adobe Stock photo account and I wanted to improve on the photo I took 2 days ago. I opened up the checklist to show the pages, I added a second fresh chart, and also added flight planning documents used in the 1980’s.
From a technical point of view, the previous photo was a focus-stacked image. This is a single photo. Those focus stacked images can be very large files and I needed a high quality image but still had to stay within the Adobe upload requirements. I shot this picture using 2 Einstein lights with the primary key light coming from the top. In order to maximize depth of field, I shot using an aperture of f/22.
Once it’s approved by Adobe, we”ll see if it has any buyers. I have some photos on Adobe that have done very well. I also have some that I thought would do really well and have not had a single buyer, so it can be a bit of a crapshoot.
The images are slightly different. The one below has my USAF Navigator wings added.
