5D Mk IV – EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II – 640W Strobes – 21.0 sec, f/8, ISO 50
Thought I’d play with light today. Interesting experiment in that the stein is fully in focus except for the lid. I used both ambient light and two Einstein strobes, one to the left and one on top. I had the camera set to bulb mode and note the exposure time was a whopping 21 seconds.
I used a remote control in my left hand and grabbed the stein and hit the remote button. One flash fired, then the room was generally dark, then around 15 seconds another flash fired. I waited a few more seconds and hit the remote to close the shutter.
This has some interesting possibilities and I may explore this further in the coming weeks.
