Canon G7 X Mk II – 1/200, f/8, ISO 400

Today’s picture is celebrating the fact that I bought our annual pass to the Indiana State Park system. We have Prophetstown State Park 7 miles from us and with the entrance fee being $7.00, and how often that we use the State Parks, the $50 entrance fee is a bargain (actually, I believe this is cheaper than it was last year).

This picture was taken not exactly in the park, but close enough. It is from SR 225 just across from the Prophetstown HQ building. What is interesting about it is I used Aperture Priority mode, which I almost never do. I was using the Canon G7 X Mk II and was having a difficult time seeing what the proper exposure should be in manual mode. I also didn’t notice the ISO was 400 – it looks somewhat grainy and I attribute that to this oversight (rookie mistake!). The other thing is that this image is a photo stitch of 4 images. I did the stitching in Lightroom. It’s somewhat hard to see, but my original intent was to capture the old buildings in the background. Might have to get closer to capture them.
