5D Mk IV – EF 70-20mm L II – 1/160, f/7.1, ISO 400, Evaluative Meter
Today’s shot was intentional and, I hope, considered artistic. Remember the Day 84 Photo of the Day where I said Beauty is in the eye of the beholder? This is the same concept but less impulsive. I’ve had my eye on the boots for awhile for a potential photo shoot. Today was nice enough outside that I thought I’d give it a try. I knew from the beginning that this picture would be in black and white, and I knew I’d be using the 70-200mm lens. What I wasn’t sure of was the aperture; I wanted most of the boots to be in focus while blending out the ends of the boards. The f/7.1, I think, does a good job.
So what do you think? Is this artistic? Would you hang it on your wall?
Oh wow! Love this one too and the blurring behind the boots!
