5D Mk IV – EF 50mm F/1.2L – SpeedLite 580EX II – 1/100, f/10, ISO 400, Eval Meter

Well we have our granddaughter for the weekend so it is only appropriate that she be Photo of the Day. It turned out to be quite busy today so not much time for photo taking. These aren’t anywhere close to portrait photos so we’ll just call them life pics! I grabbed the camera while she was sitting at the table. Because of the light from outside, I didn’t want things blown out so I slapped the SpeedLite on the 5D. I exposed for the outside, then refocused on her while she was stretching her arms wide, and snapped the shot.

In the photo below, she had eaten some Doritos so, why not, I snapped her hands right before Grandma cleaned them.

The pic below of the racing wheel was spur of the moment. As you know, I recently finished Horizon Forbidden West and last night I installed Gran Turismo 7. Today, I started racing! I deliberately set the aperture to wide open at f/1.2 to maximize the blur of the background.
