DJI Mini 2 Drone – 1/800, f/2.8, ISO 100, CWA Meter

Well here we go folks. Even though this started out as a full week, I spent most of my time closing out Project 365 from 2022 so didn’t have a whole lot of time for new creative endeavors. However, like I said, the rules for this project are much more flexible. In this first installation of the PotW, I’m pulling a panorama from November 2022. This photo did not make it as a PotD, nor did it make it as a Secondary pic. I might have shared the one image of the 1/2 rainbow on Messenger, but I don’t remember. Anyway, as I was reviewing the 2022 pics, I came across this gem again.

This is a stitch of 4 photos of Clearwater Beach , FL taken from the Mini 2 drone at 400ft. I think the reason this didn’t make it as a PotD or Secondary pic is that, in the very first version I did, there was a lot more of the bottom cut off. In this case, I went into Photoshop and was able to bring in more of the bottom by adding content-aware sky and water (it has to do with how the original was stitched and cropped). While it’s not perfect, and I should have taken the drone further out, I really like this pic and think it’s kind of spectacular. I mean, who ever sees only half a rainbow?

The condo we stayed in was center right. If you look really close, you can see me and Guba at the very bottom center right. That’s where I’m controlling the drone. Also, there is a wedding taking place on the balcony at the building that is center left.
