Another Surreal art photo.

This is two pictures (3 pics really) – the lightbulb and the sunset. The sunset was taken in 2021 in Florida. The bulb was taken this week in my studio. Actually, the bulb was the hardest part of this pic. It was a lot of trial and error to get a photo of the bulb that had no reflections and glare bouncing off it. What I did was create a black tunnel on both sides and the top. Behind it, I had a white sheet and behind that I had sunlight coming in from a window. The camera was on a tripod with the lights in the room turned off. This worked well to get the shot I needed. I then grabbed a flashlight and took a second pic of the bulb. This time though I shined light on the base of the bulb.

I then put those pics in Photoshop and created a selection of just the bulb. I moved it onto the sunset pic and set the blending mode to ‘multiply’. After making some other adjustments, I moved the pic back into Lightroom where I made the final adjustments.
