Canon EOS 50D – 1/160, f/8, ISO 100, Eval Meter
This PotW is a real cool panorama that is a whopping 12.5 years old (well the photos are, not the panorama). I have been reviewing, organizing, key-wording, and classifying my 65,000+ photos on my hard drive. That’s over two terabytes of pics. Anyway, I came across a group of 6 photos, and while not any single pic stood out, I recognized I might be able to merge them into a panorama. I did this in Lightroom and the merger was very simple. As I began looking at the panorama, It looked familiar but I couldn’t quite place it. I studied the barn on the left and realized this was near Gettysburg. Upon more research, I realized the barn on the left is actually part of the Eisenhower National Historic Site. The barn is actually a garage that contains several historic vehicles. Here is a link: Eisenhower National Historic Site – Photos.
I really like this panorama with the Eisenhower farm and the sweeping Appalachian Mountains in the background. I made the Week 4 PotW bigger than normal so it could be enjoyed better. Another thing to note is that I used a Canon 50D; an early EOS. I liked that camera, but it wasn’t around very long.
Wow. This is so cool!
