Canon G7 X Mk II – 1/30, f/1.8, ISO 320, Eval Meter

Well today was a special day in that it was Roxie and I’s 40th wedding anniversary! We should be on vacation somewhere, but, alas, we aren’t (yet). Hopefully we’ll be on a diving vacation soon. This weekend was also very busy and today was no exception. Yard-work (very hot outside) and housework, followed by taking Mason to get his regular furminator grooming treatment.

While waiting for Mason, Roxie and I went to Texas Roadhouse for an early supper. I had brought the might G7 so I brought it in. Two things here: 1) My lovely bride looks like she’s having a good time! and 2) the fail below. But first, the interesting thing about the pic – I go back and forth on the low light capabilities and image stabilization of this camera. Today’s PotD is pretty good given that it’s set to auto and the shutter speed is 1/30th second. It’s interesting given that the ISO is still a relatively low 320. I would think the algorithm would prioritize shutter speed over ISO, meaning that it should increase ISO and not decrease shutter speed.

Now the FAIL. I ordered a sirloin steak and grilled shrimp for my meal. The shrimp came with melted butter and I set it off to the side – and promptly forgot about it. Only when I ate the last shrimp did I realize that I had not dipped a single shrimp in butter!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY HONEY!
